Competition winners
I've been a bit remiss and not announced the winners of my Blogoversary competition, nor the winner of the Right Royal Knees-Up CD set.
The winners of the Blogoversary competition have all been contacted and their prizes sent.
The winner of the Kitchen Chopper was Ashleigh Allan.
The winners of the My Safe Cutters were: Heather Shaw, Rhonda Walker, and Kate Pollard.
The winner of my other competition and who wins the Right Royal Knees-Up CD set is Phil Darling.

Review and Competition: A Right Royal Knees-Up CD set
I know, two competitions in two days; I am really spoiling you!
The News of the World have sent me copies of a special double CD set, called A Right Royal Knees-Up, in honour of the forthcoming royal wedding, which is now less than three weeks away. The set is available free to all readers of the News of the World. Two vouchers will be published in the paper - one today and one next Sunday - and vouchers can be exchanged for CDs at all Tesco stores nationwide, excluding forecourts. Vouchers are valid for one week so you have plenty of time to collect your free CDs.
CD1 comes in a collectible wallet with space for CD2 to be added. Each CD has 8 tracks, featuring hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, although a good half are from the 80s, which is the decade of my teens and early adulthood and therefore a decade of some fond memories for me. The tracks are billed as "floor-fillers" and there certainly aren't any duff tracks that you've never heard of before. Make your own mind up - the track listing is as follows:

2. Belinda Carlisle - Heaven is a Place on Earth
3. Human League - Don’t You Want Me
4. Kajagoogoo – Too Shy
5. Supergrass – Alright
6. Huey Lewis and The News - The Power of Love
7. Tommy James and The Shondells - Mony Mony
8. Jeff Beck - Hi Ho Silver Lining
The competition is open to residents of the UK only. (Sorry!)
There is no cash alternative offered.
To enter, please leave a comment below as specified in the post. Please ensure you leave some contact details via twitter or email or I will not be able to contact you if you win.
The winner will be drawn at random from all qualifying entries.
The competition will close at 23:59 on Tuesday 19th April 2011.
Prizewinners will be asked to provide a full UK postal address with postcode. I will endeavour to post the prize within 1 week. Proof of posting will be obtained but I can't be held responsible for delay or loss by Royal Mail.
If a prizewinner does not provide a full UK postal address within a week of being contacted, the prize will be re-drawn and a new winner will be contacted.

Some crackers there, eh? Good for family parties, I'd say - whether you have it in a street or not. Neither CD is particularly long - they're around half an hour long each - so I wouldn't want to rely on them totally to provide a musical background to a party. But it wouldn't be a bad hour. I wonder if the News of the World has sent a set to Buckingham Palace. I can just imagine them singing along to the Proclaimers a bit like in the Comic Relief video from a few years ago as the evening draws to a close, worse for wear on sherry and port. Or maybe not. Given that William and Kate were born in 1982, they probably prefer something a little more contemporary.
If you can't get hold of the vouchers, never fear. I have one set of CDs to give away to one lucky winner.
All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment below, telling me which of the tracks listed above is your favourite. Mine is Temptation by Heaven 17 - a cracking dance tune that reminds me of the year I took my A levels and went off to University. Good times.
